Solari Lecture 2021 by Prof. Jean Tirole 10.11.2021 18:00 – 19:30 The Solari Lecture 2021 will welcome Prof. Jean Tirole, Professor of Economics at the Toulouse School of Economics, and laureate of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2014, who will address: “The Common Good after Covid”. Jean Tirole's Nobel Prize in Economics prompted him to reflect further on the role economists and their discipline play in society. The result is "Economics for the Common Good," a passionate manifesto accessible to a wide audience. In his book, Tirole shares his insights on a broad array of questions affecting our everyday lives and the future of our society, including global warming, the global financial order, the digital revolution, and the proper balance between the free market and regulation. "Where has the Common Good gone?" This question has never been so topical as with today's COVID-19 pandemic.
